Services we provide

Here at Brothers Helping Hands, we provide 3 main services; Private Pay, HCS Waiver and Veterans Supported Employment

Private Pay:
Adult Day Habilitation Center

Our location hosts a day habilitation center for our clients to participate in. The center is open Monday through Friday 9:00am-3:00pm. We provide transportation to individuals

We currently charge a daily rate of $25 which includes transportation and FREE lunches.

We offer a 5% discount for individuals who pay in advance and we are willing to work with financing issues on a case by case basis.

Hot Lunches

Health is a big value that we have in our program. We offer free lunches to each individual that is participating in our service. We work with our individuals to build a meal plan for the week and take them shopping for the supplies needed. Each day, we offer for our individuals to help prepare their lunches and to select from a variety of fruits and vegetables to eat.

We take care to keep the facility sanitized and cater to each person's allergies/food restrictions.

Safe and Secure

Our office also has added security for safety. We have cameras around the facility that record our activities along with a locked front double door. We escort individuals to the restroom to ensure they make it safely and are also washing their hands properly. A trained staff member is with our individuals at all times, working with them and providing companionship.

Weekly Activities

We have a number of activities in our center that can be catered to our individuals as they need, such as games, puzzles, movies, exercise, cooking, budgeting, etc. Our goal is to have a safe and welcoming environment that can be specialized for each individual's program.

Our individuals also go on outings weekly and there is detailed monthly activities plan for everyone to participate in. We require all staff attend our activities to ensure we are attending to everyone's needs.

Community and Home Services

We are not officially a waiver provider, but we have the licensing to work with certain waivered services, such as Consumer Directed Services (CDS), Respite and Transportation Services. If you are already receiving HCS waivered services, speak with your service coordinator about adding these services to your plan and contact us!

If you are not a recipient of HCS waivered services and want to explore that option for yourself/your individual, please contact your local MHMR office for more information on waitlists.

Consumer Directed Services (CDS)

Under the HCS waiver, we are able to contract with you to provide Consumer Directed Services known as Personal Attendant Services/Habilitation Services (PAS/HAB). With PAS/HAB, we are able to work with you to ensure all your needs at home are met.

Utilizing PAS/HAB, we will be able to assist with home maintenance such as cleaning and hygiene, grocery shopping or creating a list, assistance with medical transportation, errand running, etc. If you have a need for a personal attendant, we will be able to cater to the needs you have.

Transportation Services

Transportation Services include transportation to the community and medical appointments. This includes running errands, shopping, local resources, attending community events, attending medical appointments, getting to/from work, etc. Our staff will pick you up at your door and ensure that you are safe while traveling to your destination. You will be accompanied by staff until you are driven back to your home safely.

Respite Services

Respite services include providing care and attention to individuals while their caregivers are away. This includes going on vacations, going out on a date or just taking a break from being a caregiver. Respite is designed to pay for staff to take care of an individual for a planned amount of time, which also will include overnight 24/hr care.

Veteran Supported Employment

Our company was not only founded by a mother who children with disabilities, she is also a wife of a veteran. We understand how difficult it can be to find a job and reintegrate back into civilian life.

We are offering free employment services to veterans. These services include resume writing, mock interviews, job referrals, job skills training, transportation and much more. Our goal is to help you overcome any barriers you have to employment and get you to land the job of your dreams.
